Daily 5

Room 7 and the Year 4's from Room 8 are learning to use the reading programme called Daily 5. It helps us to become independent readers who can manage our reading time. You can see us practising to 'read to someone'. We are sitting EEKK which means, elbow to elbow, knee to knee, book in the middle so we both can see!

It's nice to be back!

Hi everyone and welcome to PRS; Blackball site's Room 7. We are a Year 0 to 3 class and are working hard at settling in to our school term. Our 2 Year 3's are very excited to be using school chromebooks this year and are looking forward to using them to blog on our class site.

Guzzler Does the Job

Troy and Ocean have been reading some SPCA books this Term.  they really enjoyed the story about an orphaned wild pig called Guzzler Does the Job.

Patterns

Zach has made a pattern and is describing it using shape names.  What other ways could he describe his pattern?

Rebecca's Life jacket presentation

Rebecca has been reading Junior Journal 54.  Through her multi-modal site, she found information about lifejackets and then decided to present what she found on google slides.

The Impossible Bridge

The Koalas reading group have been learning about bridges on their multi-modal site before they read the book 'The Impossible Bridge'.  Ocean and Troy both made a bridge....

Our star the Sun

We have been learning about the Sun and how it affects night and day.  Stella and Rebecca were interested to find out that the Earth spins and the Sun's light creates daytime and night-time depending on which part of the Earth it is shining on.
