Our Matariki Feast

We really enjoyed reading Daniel's Matariki Feast and the discussions we had around how we celebrate special occasions with family and friends.

Paparoa Range were lucky enough to have our own Matariki feast at Blackball site and spent the afternoon making stars and poi while we waited for the food to cook.

Mr Maunder checking to see if the kai is cooked.

The cooked food ready to be served.

  1. Mōrena Room 7,
My name is Tania and I am a Manaiakalani Outreach Facilitator. I live in Whangarei which is at the top of the North Island, a long way away from where you live on the West Coast. I am lucky enough to be involved with Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu which means I get to check out your blog on a regular basis and leave you comments too. This is my first visit to your blog! It is great to see you celebrating Matariki, what a feast! Had many of you had hangi before? I love fried bread! Did you have fried bread? I look forward to following your learning.
