Daily 5

Room 7 and the Year 4's from Room 8 are learning to use the reading programme called Daily 5. It helps us to become independent readers who can manage our reading time. You can see us practising to 'read to someone'. We are sitting EEKK which means, elbow to elbow, knee to knee, book in the middle so we both can see!

  1. Nau mai, haere mai, welcome to Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu for 2018. I am excited that your class has joined a group and I will get to check out your blog on a regular basis. My name is Tania and I am the organiser of Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu. I live in Whangarei, a long way away from where you live in Paparoa? Have any of you ever been to the North Island Whangarei? Who has been the furtherest north in your class? The Daily 5 is a great way ti be involved with reading. I love that it gives you more ways of working with others. Great work Room 7 - keep up the awesome learning, creating and sharing on your blog.

  2. Hi Room 7
It is Room 6 from Wesley Primary in Auckland here. It is so great that Year 4's are doing it too. We are Year 4 and we are working on reading chapter books this term. Keep up the good work!
